Workflow Analysis

Trying to identify a complex workflow in a large organization is a difficult task. Trying to improve it with technology can be even more daunting when it cuts across many different areas of responsibility.

The workflow analysis and deployment consulting provided by eCore ensures a smooth transition to an optimal workflow for an organization. The four-step approach described below is the winning formula for a successful deployment.

1)   Analyze Current Workflow

Our team meets with the organization staff that has ownership in the current processes.  Attendance by essential managers and supervisors is critical.  After meeting, the current processes are documented.

2)   Evaluate current workflow; define and document optimal workflow.

The current workflow is then evaluated for weaknesses and improvement.  Improved workflow and the appropriate assignment of responsibilities are defined by the team and documented.

3)   Prescribe technology solution to all aspects of optimal workflow

Moving forward with an optimal solution requires that each process owner has the tools needed to meet their responsibilities.  Existing technological capabilities are evaluated for strengths, weaknesses, and availability.  New technology products are recommended where applicable.

4)   Define a deployment plan

The final step is to define a plan that will deploy the optimal workflow solution.  The rollout plan must identify critical dates, training requirements and the go-live date.

This formula has a proven track record of success. Some of the most complex operations eCore has deployed to had very smooth transitions because of the up-front planning that was done. It maximized the organization buy-in by all employees involved in the process and reduced frustration to a minimum.
